General Accounting ITC Global/Newsat (80%)

• Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Assists in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements per legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Reconciles the intercompany charges and current accounts
• Assists with preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepares and submit weekly/monthly reports as required
• Assists the Finance team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Audits financial transactions and documents accounting control procedures
• Keeps up with financial policies, regulation and legislation

Accounting Support ITC Global/Newsat (20%)

• Develops periodic reports for management
• Assists with other accounting projects
• Additional ad hoc activities requested by manager
• Assist with annual audit information requests
• Provides back up to the AR and AP team as necessary
• Supports Finance team with SOX compliance
• Respects and complies with internal HSE procedures

• Proven ability to effectively manage time in accordance with deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
• High-level of attention to detail and accuracy
• IT proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics desirable
• At least 3 years of practical experience in a similar position
• Qualified or Part Qualified and actively studying towards an accountancy qualification desirable
• May involve occasional overseas travel
